Racing for Archie

I had the major honour of popping in to meet one of my biggest fans yesterday. 🏆

Archie's family reached out to the team last week wanting to buy some merchandise for their son, who is absolutely car crazy and loves our Aussie Racing Cars.

But after hearing Archie's story we knew this fan deserved more than just a hat - we had to meet him! Thanks to the help of his family we were able to organise a visit to the John Hunter Hospital (JHH) to chat race cars with this super fan.

Archie was diagnosed with Acute Flaccid Myelitis in November 2015, an extremely rare disease that only 8 children in Australia are affected by. Acute Flaccid Myelitis impacts the spinal cord nervous system which carries messages to and from the brain.

Visiting Archie we realised that while this is a massive battle, it certainly doesn't stop him from being a kid! He controls his wheel chair better than a race driver races cars (I was very impressed) and he's very cheeky like most 5 year olds 😂

This weekend we are proud to announce that we are #racingforArchie, to help bring more awareness to Acute Flaccid Myelitis.

To follow Archie make sure you like him on Facebook at Archie's Fight - AFM or follow him on Instagram @archiesfight

We will be using the hashtag #racingforArchie all weekend and we encourage you to do the same as well!
